Donald: Race 4 (1:45pm)
No. 3 Spooning

Spooning will take plenty of improvement into her second campaign start at Donald today, and this looks a winnable race for her.

The daughter of Ocean Park was a consistent performer in decent company last time in, and only just missed behind Pitchanum at The Valley most notably.

She clearly needed her first run back this time for fitness, but she relished races on a rain-affected track, and she should receive every chance from an inside draw today.

Donald: Race 6 (3:05pm)
No. 4 Imperial Hilton

Imperial Hilton hasn’t managed to strike in three starts back this time, but he has been racing in tougher company than he meets today, and this looks a very winnable race for him.

The son of The Factor finished third, beaten less than half a length at Sandown when resuming this time, before finishing just over a length behind Jigsaw at Caulfield.

He was again only a length behind the winner in BM78 company last time out, and he steps out today in peak order.

Coffs Harbour: Race 6 (3:40pm)
No. 2 Airstrike

Former Bjorn Baker galloper Airstrike will have her first start for Mitchell Fry at Coffs Harbour this afternoon, and it looks a very winnable race for her.

The daughter of Rubick has recorded two wins and a minor from just six career starts to date, both races in company not dissimilar to what she strikes today.

She’s drawn to receive an ideal run in transit from barrier 4 and it looks well within her abilities.

Coffs Harbour: Race 7 (4:20pm)
No. 8 Thisland And Myland

Toby & Trent Edmonds have sent Thisland And Myland south to Coffs Harbour today, and I think he’ll take a power of beating.

The Territories gelding won on debut at Ballina in his only start for Michael Costa in November, and resumed for fourth, beaten less than a length at the Sunshine Coast earlier this month.

With improvement, he can win this easily, and he is my best bet of the day.
