Colombe D’or faces a rise in class at Geelong today, but she was very impressive on debut and has plenty of upside.
The Rubick filly settled off the pace here last month and mustered a nice turn of foot to easily put away her rivals.
She’ll take plenty of benefit from that experience and can continue her climb through the grades.
This looks a very winnable race for Butter Blonde.
The daughter of Choisir has returned some nice efforts since making her debut, and she has improved for two starts back this time, only just missing in BM64 company at Morning last time out.
Fitter third-up, this is her opportunity to strike.
Bellman hasn’t returned a bad effort since debuting and he looks the one to beat in Race 7 at Geelong today.
Bellman stamped himself as one to watch with an easy win on debut at Hamilton in February and went to the paddock after only just missing behind Thought Provoking in BM64 company.
He filled the minors in a similar race to this one when resuming this time, and he too will be far better for that effort.
I thought that Antipodes looked a touch of overs at current odds ($12 at publish).
The Godolphin filly returned some nice efforts last time in, breaking her maiden here at Geelong most notably, and she simply got too far back in her first-up run this time.
She strips fitter, can settle a little closer today from barrier 5 and we can have an each-way play at the price.
