2022 Platinum Jubilee Stakes Tips

It has been a truly outstanding week at Royal Ascot and the fifth and final day of the Carnival is headlined by the Group 1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes.

Australia will have strong representation in the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Stakes field, with star three-year-old Home Affairs joined by fellow Group 1 winner Artorius and both gallopers rate as key winning chances.

You can ding my complete 2022 Platinum Jubilee Stakes Tips below.

Suggested Bets

  • 4 Units straight out #13 Home Affairs
  • Boxed Quinella #2/#13
  • Box Trifecta of the selections below
Platinum Jubilee Stakes - Winner
No. 13 Home Affairs

I can hardly split the two Aussies, but Home Affairs does look ideally suited to the Platinum Jubilee Stakes and I am following the weight of money.

The I Am Invincible colt has always shown ability and he really began to put it all together in the spring last year, capping his season with a dominant win in the Coolmore Stud Stakes.

He returned this year with an outstanding performance and win in open company in the Black Caviar Lightning, which was enough to book his ticket to the UK.

James McDonald rides and has been in excellent form himself this week, plus Home Affairs’ fresh record is exceptional.

Platinum Jubilee Stakes - 2nd
No. 2 Artorius

Artorius has been one of mine since he won the Neds Blue Diamond at a price in 2021 and he looks a touch of overs in Platinum Jubilee Stakes betting at around the $13 mark.

The Flying Artie colt hasn’t quite re-found his two-year-old form, but he has performed well in some of the country’s best races since, due to the Freedmans trying a few different things with him including sending him out to a mile.

Sprints are certainly his go, however, and the undulated 1200m at Royal Ascot should in fact prove to be his ideal conditions.

Platinum Jubilee Stakes - 3rd
No. 1 A Case Of You

A Case Of You has won some excellent sprints and he too looks a bit of value in Platinum Jubilee Stakes betting at current odds ($15 at publish).

The Hot Streak entire has recorded seven wins and five minors from his 15 career starts so far, ending his last prep with an excellent win in the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan in March, a race famously won by Buffering just a few years ago.

I thought that there was a lot to like about his first-up run for third in the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes at The Curragh last month, and he’ll take plenty of improvement for that effort.

Platinum Jubilee Stakes - 4th
No. 3 Creative Force

Creative Force hasn’t been seen at the races since he finished down the order in the Al Quoz Sprint, but his fresh performances are generally good and he’s saddled by the star Charlie Appleby.

Creative Force has claimed six wins and a placing from his eleven previous trips to the races and he ended his 2021 prep with an impressive performance, winning the Group 1 Champion Sprint Stakes here at Ascot.

He’ll leave from barrier 1 under William Buick and he certainly has the ability to fight out the finish.
