The UFC stays at the Apex this weekend with another fantastic fight night card.
Former Bantamweight champion Holly Holm takes on #5 ranked Ketlan Vieira in the main event and Santaigo Ponziinibbio fights Michel Pereira in the co main.
Our full UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Vieira Tips & Preview can be found below.
Former UFC Bantamweight champion Holly Holm returned to this division when fighting Amanda Nunes for the title back in July 2019.
She lost that fight via TKO in the first round and has fought just twice since.
Holm beat Raquel Pennington via unanimous decision and followed that with another decision win over Irene Aldana, both in 2020.
Her opponent Ketlan Vieira, has two losses on her professional mma career resume from 14 fights.
She was 10-0 when losing to Irene Aldana back in December 2019 and her only other loss was to Yana Kunitskaya in February 2021.
Vieira was last seen beating former champion Miesha Tate via unanimous decision in November last year.
Both of these ladies are stand up strikers although Vieira has four wins by submission and is a black belt in BJJ.
Holm has had an incredible combat sports career but at 40 years of age and after so long out of the octagon I give the edge to Vieira.
Chidi ‘Chidi Bang Bang’ Njokuani won his way into the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series and won his debut fight by KO against Marc-Andre Barriault.
He couldn’t have had much more of an impact and he finds himself on the main card because of it.
Dusko Todorovic has just two losses from 13 career fights and he has a win over Michel Pereira who fights in the co main event back in 2018.
He knocked out the dangerous Maki Pitolo in his last outing in December 2021 and he represents good value in what should be a cracking fight.
Santiago Ponzinibbio comes into this co main event having won eight of his last 10 but he has lost two of his last three.
His latest outing was a very close split decision win against Geoff Neal in December 2021.
Michel Pereira is an unorthodox mixed martial artist with plenty of striking weapons at his disposal.
He is riding a four fight win streak and despite his versatility, his last three wins have required the judges decision.
Pereira’s unpredictability makes him a dangerous match up for anyone and he is very big for the division.
This is another very close betting proposition for punters but I think one of these guys can get a finish inside the three rounds.
