Premier League Game Week 36 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 36 Tips & Preview

The Premier League heads into Game Week 36 with the Title Race, Top-Four battle, and Relegation scrap all still well and truly up in the air!

The Reds play host to the Spurs in what is easily the match of the round, while the Gunners look to solidify their top-four spot with a win against Leeds, and Manchester City takes on big money rivals Newcastle United in the trillion-dollar derby.

We’ve previewed all ten Premier League fixtures across the weekend and provided our best betting plays below!

CRYSTAL PALACE VS WATFORD
Crystal Palace to Win & Over 2.5 Goals $2.54

Anything less than a win here will see Watford become the second team to be officially relegated from the Premier League this season.

Though, anything more than a loss here will come as a huge surprise to the rest of the league, as the Hornets stare down the barrel of their sixth straight PL defeat.

They’ll face the Eagles, who enter this game off the back of a victory against the Saints, with Zaha netting a last gasp winner.

The Ivory Coast winger will be looking to cash in here, after bagging a brace against the Hornets during the reverse fixture, lifting his side to a 4-1 victory.

I’m backing the Hornets to go down in spectacular fashion, with the Eagles boosting their goal difference.

BRENTFORD VS SOUTHAMPTON
Brentford $2.20

Brentford and Southampton take the field with both sides looking to push for a top-half finish.

The Bees have been anything but consistent this season, claiming points against top sides such as Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham, before inexcusably losing against struggling Manchester United.

Alternatively, the Saints have only won once across their last 10 games in all comps, and look like they’ve checked out for the season.

Southampton has only claimed three wins on the road this season, a pathetic return which I don’t see them building on here.

CHELSEA VS WOLVES
Under 2.5 Goals $1.90

Chelsea will be out to steady the ship when they welcome Wolverhampton to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have won one of their last four league fixtures and are at risk of falling out of the top four should their poor form continue.

Fortunately, they are hosting a side who have unlearned the art of goal scoring, firing blanks across their last three PL fixtures, all of which were against sides sitting below them on the table.

The last two fixtures between this pair have finished as 0-0 draws and with scoring hard to come by for both teams at the minute, I’m going to be backing the unders to salute once again.

BURNLEY VS ASTON VILLA
Burnley $2.95

Burnley’s bid for survival continues as they look to claim their fourth league win on the trot.

They are faced with a Villa side who claimed their first PL win since early March, seeing off the now relegated Canaries 2-0.

Though Villa has more talent on their books, the Clarets are the form side here and should continue their sublime run in front of what should be a rowdy home crowd at Turf Moore.

BRIGHTON VS MAN UTD
Brighton $2.75

United are looking for their first back-to-back wins since February when they got up against Leeds and Brighton.

Alternatively, the Seagulls have only lost to Man City across their last six PL fixtures, claiming back-to-back London derby wins against Tottenham and Arsenal.

The Red Devils have struggled on the road of late, losing their last four Premier League away fixtures, including a sad defeat to relegation-threatened Everton.

Despite a win last weekend, I still hold zero confidence in this United outfit, as such, I’m happy to back the home side at the current odds.

LIVERPOOL VS TOTTENHAM
Liverpool and Over 2.5 Goals $2.00

Neither side can afford to drop points here, with both a place in the top four and the title race laying on the line.

Liverpool will be looking to remain undefeated at home this season while extending their EPL winning steak at Anfield to 13 games!

Meanwhile, the Spurs are searching for their first win at Anfield since 2011, a game in which Rafael van der Vaart and Luca Modric scored for the visitors!

Eight of the last ten fixtures between this pair have seen at least three goals scored, with Liverpool claiming the W on seven occasions (2D,1L).

I’m backing Klopp’s team to keep their quadruple hopes alive with another high-scoring victory here.

ARSENAL VS LEEDS
Arsenal HT/FT $2.20

Speaking of historic runs, here’s a little bit of Premier League trivia for you; the last time Leeds defeated Arsenal, both Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell found the back of the net!

That’s right, it’s been 19 years and 11 H2H fixtures since the Gunners dropped points to the Whites (9W,2D).

That run looks set to continue, with the Gunners currently riding a hot streak that has seen them topple Man U, Chelsea, and West Ham over the last three rounds.

Arsenal has led at the half in 12 of their 19 wins this season, and I’m backing them to get off to a flyer once again here.

LEICESTER VS EVERTON
Draw $3.30

Leicester takes on the Toffees in what should be an interesting fixture from a neutrals perspective.

The Foxes are currently on a four-game winless run (2D,2L), which includes a 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

Meanwhile, the Toffees have claimed two colossal 1-0 victories against Man U and Chelsea to keep them in the hunt for Premier League survival.

Leicester has been playing some mediocre football of late and although it’s hard to see Everton secure their first win on the road since August 2021, I believe they can snatch a very valuable point.

each way
NORWICH VS WEST HAM
West Ham to Nil $3.10

No need to overthink this fixture.

Norwich has officially been relegated and are now playing for pride alone.

Meanwhile, West Ham are a shout at claiming a top-six finish, though they’ll need to turn around a stale run of form to do so.

The Hammers have won their last three H2H against Norwich to nil, and they should do so again here.

MAN CITY VS NEWCASTLE
Man City and Over 3.5 Goals $2.35

Game Week 36 comes to a close on Sunday night when team Abu Dhabi takes on team Saudi Arabia in a real feel-good, underdog story.

Newcastle’s four-game winning streak came to an end last time out, narrowly going down 1-0 to the title chasing Reds.

Alternatively, City claimed their third league win on the trot, outscoring their opponents 12-1 across the trip!

The Toon put up an admirable effort against the Reds last week, but I can’t see them slowing down the current avalanche of Manchester City goals!
