Canterbury: Race 3 (2pm)
No. 6 Tinnie Winnie

Tinnie Winnie rates as a key winning chance in the third at Canterbury this afternoon.

The So You Think mare hasn’t been seen at the races since March, but she stamped herself as one to follow during her debut prep, winning twice and placing twice in five appearances.

She’s had the benefit of a trial in the lead up to her return, and the booking of James McDonald only enhances her chances of success.

Canterbury: Race 5 (3:10pm)
No. 4 Julian Rock

Julian Rock steps out in the fifth at Canterbury this afternoon, and he looks a touch of overs at a double-figure price.

The Invincible Spirit gelding has been a great horse for the Jean Dubois stable throughout his career, and he has picked off some nice metro races along the way.

He resumed this time with a decent effort to finish third, though well beaten by the talented Warrior Hero here at Canterbury earlier this month, and he will only improve for that effort.

Canterbury: Race 6 (3:45pm)
No. 3 Journalism

Journalism can make a winning return in the penultimate race at Canterbury today.

The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained galloper was excellent on debut at Hawkesbury, and he was far from disgraced in a couple of tougher races in town, subsequently.

He has returned two lovely trials ahead of his return, both on rain-affected tracks, and this looks a lovely launchpad for him.

Sale: Race 7 (3:55pm)
No. 4 Brownie

The talented Brownie steps out at Sale today first-up, and I think she’ll take plenty of beating.

The Street Boss mare showed plenty of ability during her debut preparation, recording three wins and two minors from seven starts, and finding form around some talented gallopers in town.

She has been set for some far tougher races this time, and I am confident that she can kick off her prep in the best way possible.
