Hamilton: Race 3 (12:30pm)
No. 7 Killourney

Kilourney is ready to break his jumps maiden at Hamilton this afternoon.

The Paul Preusker-trained gelding has returned several competitive efforts this time in, and showed ability in a jumps race at The ‘Bool earlier this month.

With further improvement for that experience, this looks his race.

Hamilton: Race 4 (1:10pm)
No. 4 Roland Garros

The more rain, the better for Roland Garros, but he is still the one that I want to be with on the soft today.

The Helmet gelding finished second in a jumps race at Pakenham two starts back, and he was decent, though well beaten by Count Zero at Casterton last time.

This looks to be a weaker race, and he is primed to strike.

Hamilton: Race 6 (2:30pm)
No. 1 Historic

Historic can return to winning form at Hamilton this afternoon.

The Zabeel gelding didn’t show much in his first two starts back this time, but he ran home impressively to finish second, though well beaten by the talented Elvison at Casterton last time out.

There is no horse of that quality in this field, and this bloke can go one better.

Hamilton: Race 9 (4pm)
No. 9 Unlimited Ability

He has mixed his form a little recently, but I thought that this looked a nice race for Unlimited Ability, and he is over the odds.

The Equiano gelding last tasted success at Mt Gambier back in February, but he has been competitive around some decent gallopers since, and he’s drawn to receive a lovely run today from barrier 6.

He’s rock-hard fit and we can have an each-way play at the price.
