Port Macquarie: Race 1 (11:40am)
No. 3 Zippy Power

Zippy Power only just missed when resuming at Tamworth earlier this month, and she is ready to win.

The Protectionist filles showed ability during her brief debut prep, and she kept all of her best work for late when second, beaten less than a length first-up.

The rise in trip suits, and she harbours plenty of improvement.

Port Macquarie: Race 4 (1:25pm)
No. 3 Yorikiri

The Paul Perry-trained Yorikiri is chasing a hat-trick when he steps out at Port Macquarie this afternoon, and he looks capable of pulling it off.

The Mikki Isle gelding has improved with each start back this time, and charged back into the winner’s stall with a smart effort here late last month.

He franked that performance with an even smarter win last time out, and he takes his place in this contest in peak order.

Port Macquarie: Race 7 (3:15pm)
No. 7 Dunoon

He has been on the improve recently, and I thought that this looked a very winnable race for Dunoon.

Dunoon stripped fitter with a couple of fair efforts here at Port Macquarie when fresh, and he raced home well to finish second in BM58 company at Taree last time.

He is proven on the heavy-going, and we can have an each-way play at around the $11 mark.

Port Macquarie: Race 8 (3:50pm)
No. 6 Eva Daniela

Eva Daniela faces a rise in class at Port Macquarie this afternoon, but she was an impressive winner last time out, and this does look the next logical step.

The Kris Lees-trained filly hasn’t finished worse than second in four starts back this time, and she was rewarded for her improving condition at Muswellbrook.

She looks to have found peak order, and she can fight out the finish again.
