UFC Fight Night: Luque vs Muhammad 2 Tips & Preview

We head back to the UFC Apex this weekend for an absolute banger between two genuine welterweight contenders in Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad.

This division is stacked with talent as we saw last weekend with Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns.

Champion Kamaru Usman claims to have cleared out his division but there are plenty more welterweights, with very good records, for him to face yet.

Our full UFC Fight Night: Luque vs Muhammad 2 Tips & Preview can be found below.

Vicente Luque vs Belal Muhammad 2
Vicente Luque @ $1.57

Vicente Luque is possibly the most underrated and forgotten athlete on the entire UFC roster.

His only loss since 2017 was against Stephen Thompson via a decision.

Since entering the UFC in December 2015, he has 14 wins from 16 fights and he brings in a four fight win streak, all of which have been finishes.

He’s even beaten his opponent in this main event before!

These two first clashed in November 2016 where Luque clipped Muhammad with a beautiful left hook in the first round that ended the fight.

Since that fight though, Belal Muhammad has lost only once in 12 fights including wins over Demian Maia and Wonderboy Thompson.

Luque is such a technically good boxer and you will rarely see him in any of his fights with his hands down.

He has heavy hands as well as an excellent ground game which makes him a dangerous proposition wherever the fight goes, just asked Michael Chiesa.

This is probably the best Fight Night Main Event that we have had in 2022 and I am expecting a war.

Back Vicente Luque straight out and remember that if Belal Muhammad wins a split decision you will be paid out as a winner anyway!

Split decisions happened twice last weekend at UFC 273 in Dern vs Torres and Sterling vs Yan.

Caio Borralho vs Gadzhi Omargadzhiev
Gadzhi Omargadzhiev by KO/TKO or Submission

Caio Borralho won his way into the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series and he has a record of 10-1 with one No Contest.

Gadzhi Omargadzhiev also won his way in the promotion through DWCS and brings in a perfect record of 13 wins and no losses.

He is a very competent striker but his best attribute is his grappling and that is where I think this fight will be one.

Borralho has a Karate style that he will have some success with at times but he may be in deep water when the fight goes to the canvas.

Miguel Baeza vs Andre Fialho
Andre Fialho @ $2.35

Miguel Baeza was undefeated in 10 professional mma fight before running into Santiago Pnzinibbio and Khaos Williams in his last two.

Andre Fialho has been doing this a long time through Bellator and the PFL etc.

He put together four KO/TKO finishes in a row in 2021 which included a second round TKO of James Vick.

That streak earned him a UFC contract but he was by Michel Pereira by unanimous decision on debut in the promotion.

I’m really looking forward to this fight which should have plenty of fireworks.

Baeza has a Muay Thai style with little head movements and this will cause him problems against a very dangerous opponent in my opinion.
