Wagga: Race 4 (2:30pm)
No. 3 Miss Ostend

Miss Ostend is ready to win when she steps out at Wagga today.

The daughter of Zoustar has returned two eye-catching efforts since resuming, finishing second on both occasions at Canberra.

Fitter third-up, this looks an ideal race for her.

Wagga: Race 6 (3:45pm)
No. 3 Calescent

It is fair to say that Calescent has mixed her form recently, but she is certainly more than capable on her day, and she looks a bit of value in the Town Plate Prelude at current odds ($12 at publish).

The Sizzling mare has won two of her last four starts, including a dominant performance at Canberra two back.

She’s a month between runs, but does tend to race well with gaps between her starts, and we can have an each-way play at the price.

Wagga: Race 7 (4:20pm)
No. 3 Hemmerle

Hemmerle can win the penultimate race at Wagga today.

The Lucas Cranach gelding has returned some excellent performances in races not dissimilar to this one throughout his prep, winning the Corowa Cup and a BM64 race at Goulburn most notably.

He steps out today in peak order, is drawn well and gets some relief in the weights.

Wagga: Race 8 (4:55pm)
No. 14 Patrika Mist

Patrika Mist looks to have plenty of ability, and she can begin her rise through the grades at Wagga today.

The Smart Missile filly has had three starts since debuting in late February, breaking her maiden here at Wagga before finishing fourth, beaten just over a length at Gundagai last time out.

She steps out today in peak order and can win again.
