Daily Dogs – Sunday, May 1

Sale: Race 5 (6:17pm)
No. 8 Tuohy

Tuohy doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely runs a bad race, and he can strike at Sale this evening.

The son of My Redeemer has missed placing only once in his last eight trips to the races, and he finished second behind the talented Koh Samui here earlier in the week.

With even luck, he can fight out the finish again.

Sale: Race 6 (6:32pm)
No. 2 Elmo Rose

Elmo Rose is drawn to receive a lovely run in the sixth at Sale tonight, and he can return to winning form.

The son of Orson Allen has won four of his last eight starts, and was unlucky not to get then when flashing late under similar conditions here at Sale last week.

He maps to go straight to the lead this evening, and he can make every post a winner.

Sale: Race 7 (6:49pm)
No. 8 Maxwell

Maxwell tends to keep his best efforts for right here at Sale, and I think that this looks an ideal race for him.

The son of Bernardo hasn’t missed placing at his last four appearances, and he overcame a luckless start to fill the minors here last week.

He maps to get a lovely cart into the race tonight and with even luck, he can finish over the top of them.

Sale: Race 9 (7:39pm)
No. 2 Courteous Reiko

Courteous Reiko boasts a class edge over most of her rivals in the ninth at Sale tonight, and I’m happy to stick with her.

The daughter of Orson Allen recorded a dominant win in fast time at Bendigo two starts back, and she was only undone by poor luck at Sandown Park last time.

She’ll relish a return to country company, and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
