Rosehill: Race 2 (12:50pm AEDT)
No. 11 Miss Faberge

She’s been a hard luck story at each of her three career appearances so far, and I am going to give Miss Faberge another chance in the Schweppervescence today.

Miss Faberge raced greenly on debut in the Pierro Plate last month, and she has finished fourth in each of her last two starts, having run into a wall of horses.

The form out of her races has been franked and she looks a touch of overs at around the $10 mark.

Rosehill: Race 6 (3:15pm AEDT)
No. 11 Our Playboy

Our Playboy has opened favourite in Doncaster Prelude betting, and he can win through to next weekend’s Doncaster Mile.

The Sebring gelding returned some nice performances during his spring prep, and he kept his best work for late when fourth in the Group 3 Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap at HQ earlier this month.

His form on a rain-affected track is excellent, Jamie Kah has options from the rails draw, and he’ll take plenty of beating.

Mornington: Race 6 (3:25pm AEDT)
No. 4 Crystal Pegasus

Caulfield Cup ballot-free entry goes on the line in the Neds Mornington Cup, and I think that it will be claimed by Crystal Pegasus.

Crystal Pegasus has always been a talented galloper, but he’s gone to another level this time in, winning each of his last three very impressive.

He gave them an absolute galloping lesson in the Roy Higgins Quality last time out, and he’ll take a power of beating once more.

Rosehill: Race 7 (3:55pm AEDT)
No. 3 The Chosen One

This is an excellent edition of the Tancred Stakes, but I am siding with consistent Kiwi stayer The Chosen One.

The Chosen One has been a great horse for the Murray Baker & Andrew Forsman yard since debuting, and he has returned high quality performances in some of Australasia’s biggest races.

He finally broke through for an elusive Group 1 win in the Thorndon Mile when resuming across the ditch, and he steps out in the Tancred Stakes rock-hard fit following two subsequent Group 1 starts.
