Daily Racing Tips – Friday, April 1

Geelong: Race 3 (2pm AEDT)
No. 2 No Envy

No Envy will take plenty of improvement into his second campaign start at Geelong today, and he looks well placed to break his maiden.

The Lope De Vega gelding had one start in the UK before being transferred to Australia, and he clearly needed a run when he finished midfield at Kyneton earlier this month.

The rise in trip suits, and I think that this looks a nice race for him.

Geelong: Race 4 (2:35pm AEDT)
No. 6 Genuinely

Genuinely steps out at Geelong today in peak order, and she will relish a drop in class.

The Tivaci filly finished down the order in The Vanity two starts back, and prior to that, she recorded a lovely win at Pakenham.

She is drawn ideally today and with even luck, she’ll take beating in something like this.

Geelong: Race 7 (4:30pm AEDT)
No. 7 Phoenix Global

Phoenix Global takes winning form into the seventh at Geelong today, and he looks capable of making it two in a row.

The All Too Hard gelding raced home well to finish fourth at Kyneton in his first start for Danny O’Brien, and he enjoyed plenty of improvement into a comfortable win at Ballarat last time.

He’ll take further improvement into this race and will take beating.

Cranbourne: Race 4 (7:15pm AEDT)
No. 4 Thought Provoking

Thought Provoking has hardly put a good a hoof wrong this time, and she can record another win at Cranbourne tonight.

The So You Think mare returned a winner at Warrnambool back in February and finished second behind Penfriend at Terang, before bounce back at The ‘Bool last time.

This is a slight rise in class, but it looks the next logical step for her.
