This is a drop in class for Whiz Out, and she’ll take plenty of beating after drawing Box 1.
The daughter of Barcia Bale hasn’t struck for some time, but she has been racing well around some above-average chasers, and generally at a tougher grade.
She is drawn to receive all of the favours and is primed to win.
Blue Tequila maps to go straight to the lead in Race 5 at Ballarat tonight, and she can make every post a winner.
The daughter of Unlawful Entry was immediately checked out of her race here last week and I am happy to put a pen through that performance, but she has otherwise been a model of consistency.
If she steps well, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
She did mix her form earlier in her prep, but Aston Remi returned to the winner’s stall in dominant fashion here last week, and a repeat of that effort would see her winning again.
The daughter of Barcia Bale jumped well and took a position on the pace early, kicking clear late to record a comfortable win.
She should be able to find clear passage to the lead again tonight from Box 3, and she’ll give them something to chase.
This race looks as though it will set up nicely for Harley Ryder, and his class edge will take him a long way towards winning.
The son of Aston Dee Bee has won two of his last four races, including one at Sandown Park late last month, which was amongst the standout performances of his career.
I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Crazy Old Fool running into the first three and Coconino running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 7 Harley Rider (Win)
- 8 Crazy Old Fool (Top 3)
- 1 Coconino (Top 4)
