Cannington: Race 1 (10:02pm AEDT)
No. 2 Frankie Boy

Frankie Boy is chasing a hat-trick when he steps out in the first at Cannington tonight, and he looks well placed to pull it off.

The son of Fernando Bale has won four of his last eight starts, but his two most recent performances have been particularly impressive.

He can go straight to the lead tonight and win his way into next week’s Group 1 Cannington Galaxy Final.

Cannington: Race 2 (10:27pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Mambo Monelli has been in a league of his own recently, and he can win this Cannington Galaxy Heat.

The son of Se Tali Sundance has won seven of his last eight starts, only just missing on the other occasion, and he has taken out each of his last four in fast time.

There isn’t much value left in his win quote, so I am instead going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with We The People running into the first three and Pilbara running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 2 Mambo Monelli (Win)
  • 1 We The People (Top 3)
  • 8 Pilbara (Top 4)
Cannington: Race 6 (11:37pm AEDT)
No. 6 Paddy Wants Pats

Paddy Wants Pats is another chaser who has found top gear recently, and he looms as the one to beat in the sixth at Cannington tonight.

The son of Black Magic Opal has won four of his last five starts, with his only miss being an excellent effort for second in Group 1 company at The Meadows.

He brings a unique but very strong formline into this contest, and he can win through to the Group 1 Perth Cup Final.

Cannington: Race 8 (12:12am AEDT)
No. 4 West On Finn

There probably isn’t any doubt that at peak form, Titan Blazer is the best chaser in this field, but he failed from a wide draw last time out, and I am going take him on again.

The one that I like the look of here is local hope West On Finn.

West On Finn has continued to improve with racing recently, and he takes his place tonight following two dominant wins in fast time at this track and trip.

If he steps well again, I have little doubt that he will be in the finish.
