Premier League Game Week 25 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 25 Tips & Preview

We’re halfway through a glorious run of seven straight days of Premier League action, with Game Week 25 set to kick off on Saturday night (AEST).

The action gets underway at Old Trafford, as Man United searches for redemptions against the red hot Saints.

Elsewhere, Man City and Liverpool look to continue their league dominance, with fixtures against relegation contenders Norwich and Burnley.

While West Ham attempts to break back into the top four with a result against a floundering Leicester outfit.

We’ve previewed all nine Premier League fixtures across the Weekend and provided our best betting plays below!

MAN UTD VS SOUTHAMPTON
Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals $2.07

Manchester United return to Old Trafford with tails between their legs following a shambolic draw against the league’s bottom feeders at Turf Moor.

They’ll play host to a Southampton unit who are riding cloud nine after completing a come from behind victory over the Spurs last week, not to mention they became the only side to take a point away from Man City since October 2021!

This pair settled for a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in Southampton, in a game with was largely controlled by United who failed to convert in the final third, the story of their season.

Both teams to score has hit in 9 of the Saints’ last 10 Premier League fixtures, while Unite’s defense is looking shakier than Michael J Fox in an ice bath at the minute.

Man U has let me down time and time again in the H2H market this season, the safest play here is to back goals at both ends of the pitch!

WATFORD VS BRIGHTON
Brighton $2.10

No side has drawn more games this season than Brighton and Hove Albion (12), while no side has drawn fewer fixtures than Watford (3)!

Brighton has made a point of collecting a point this season, though they will be eyeing off all three here against a side who last won a league game back in November 2021 (8L,2D).

The Seagulls fly into this fixture well rested with no mid-week fixture to contend with, while the Hornets have already played two fixtures in the last six days!

At over $2, Brighton represents more value than a Tuesday night feed at Dominoes!

EVERTON VS LEEDS
Leeds $3

Marcelo Bielsa won’t need to send spies to the Toffees training grounds in order to get the edge over Lampard this time around.

Everton are on track to suffer their first relegation since 1951, with just five wins on the season leaving Lampard to contend with his toughest assignment yet!

Alternatively, the Whites strut into this contest off the back of a high-octane draw against the Villans, coming back from a two-goal deficit to clinch the 3-3 result.

Frank looks to be without his most dangerous player in Demarai Gray after the winger suffered a hip injury last time out, with Dele Alli likely to come into the starting XI, a man who peaked while Lampard was still lacing up his cleats.

Lampard has a better chance of turning around an Evergreen container ship before this bin fire of a club, Leeds looks a healthy option here at $3.

BRENTFORD VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace $2.90

The Bees are yet to emerge from their winter hibernation, losing seven of their last eight fixtures following a promising start to the season.

they’ll take on the Eagles who have been inconsistent at best, stringing together a run of two wins, two draws, and two losses across their last six fixtures across all comps!

After a run of six straight defeats, Brentford has become unbackable, leaving me leaning heavily towards the traveling underdog once again.

NORWICH VS MAN CITY
Man City (-2) $2.25

Norwich will put their run up the ladder on hold as they prepare to get spanked by Man City this weekend.

The Citizens have dispatched the Canaries 5-0 on the pair last two meetings, with Mahrez, Sterling, and KDB all scoring two goals across the trip.

Dean Smith has done wonders with what looked to be a club destined for relegation, though the former Villa manager will just be focusing on damage limitation here.

BURNLEY VS LIVERPOOL
SGM: Liverpool to Win + Salah to Score $2.06

A similar story is set to play out in this fixture, as Liverpool looks to dole out some pain to Sean Dyche’s team.

The Reds are undefeated across eight games in all comps this year without the services of Mane and Salah!

Meanwhile, Burnley are without a victory since October 2021 and are currently anchored to the bottom of the league.

The Clarets may have snatched a point away from Man U last time out, though that feat doesn’t carry much weight these days.

Salah came off the bench against the Foxes on Friday morning (AEST), managing three shots on target and one off the woodwork during his limited time on the pitch.

I’m backing the Egyptian King to resume his race towards his third PL Golden Boot, snagging at least one goal on the way to a Reds victory.

TOTTENHAM VS WOLVES
Under 2.5 $1.70

Death, Taxes, and Wolves Under 2.5 Goals.

But seriously, the Wolves have gone under in 17 of their 22 games this season, and across their last three meetings with the Spurs!

Tottenham butchered what looked like a certain victory against the Saints last time out, and are unjustifiably $1.60 heading into this tough fixture.

I recommend steering clear of the H2H market here, instead backing another goal-deprived Wolves fixture.

NEWCASTLE VS ASTON VILLA
Over 3.5 $2.90

Newcastle and Aston Villa were the biggest movers in the January transfer window and are set to put their new signings to the test when they clash at St James’ Park on Monday morning (AEST).

Both sides enter this fixture off the back of high scoring affair in game week 24, the Toons overpowered the Toffees 3-1, while the Villans went blow for blow in a 3-3 draw against Leeds.

Defense has been an afterthought for Villa of late, with four of their last five league games seeing over 3.5 goals scored, while the same can be said of four of the Toon’s last seven outings.

I’m backing both keepers to have their hands full here, with goals on the menu.

LEICESTER VS WEST HAM
West Ham $2.40

The Hammers are out to complete their fourth straight league win over the Foxes when they travel to King Power Stadium to wrap up game week 25.

The front four for West Ham will be licking their lips in unison here, with Antonio, Fornals, and Bowen all scoring multi goals across the last three meetings with Leicester, while Benrahma popped up with a goal and assist in the pairs’ last meeting.

Leicester are in all sorts at the moment, without Vardy leading the line I can’t see them competing against sides inside the top 6.

For the sixth time this game week I am going to have to back the traveling side, with West Ham keeping their UCL dream alive.
