Hamilton: Race 2 (1:50pm AEDT)
No. 2 Vanguard

Vanguard hasn’t been seen at the races since September and will be making his Australian debut at Hamilton today, and I think that he will take plenty of beating.

The Rip Van Wingle gelding was excellent at the end of his last prep, winning three of four starts and filling the minors on the other occasion.

He’ll be set for jumps races this time, but can kick off his Aussie tenure in the best way possible.

Hamilton: Race 5 (3:30pm AEDT)
No. 5 Saucey Horsey

Saucey Horsey hasn’t been seen at the races since August, but she showed plenty of ability during her debut prep and can make a winning return at Hamilton today.

The So You Think filly stamped herself as one to watch with a dominant win on debut at Donald, and she went to the paddock after finishing fourth behind Sandy Prince at Hamilton.

She clearly races well fresh, this is a decent drop in class and I am happy to be with her.

Hamilton: Race 6 (4pm AEDT)
No. 5 Tycoon Ronnie

Tycoon Ronnie will take plenty of improvement into his second campaign start at Hamilton this afternoon and will take plenty of beating.

The Redente gelding returned some nice efforts last time in, and his let down with a nice turn of foot to finish second behind Fine Weather at Swan Hill a couple of weeks ago.

Harry Coffey rides his dad’s horses extremely well, and he is full of confidence after riding the Launceston Cup winner earlier this week.

Hamilton: Race 7 (4:30pm AEDT)
No. 10 Exceedingly Magic

Exceedingly Magic is chasing a hat-trick of wins when she steps out in the penultimate race, and I think that she’ll pull it off.

The Outreach mare charged in to break her maiden with ease at Sale two starts back, and she franked that performance with an even stronger effort in Class 2 company at Stony Creek last time.

She steps out today in peak order and gets into the race well under the conditions.
