Daily Racing Tips – Friday, February 4

Werribee: Race 5 (4:10pm AEDT)
No. 7 Little Faifo

The consistent Little Faifo steps out in the fifth at Werribee this afternoon, and she is primed to return to the winner’s stall.

Little Faifo didn’t miss placing in her last five trips to the races last time in, and she found form around some talented gallopers, including Hitotsu.

She needed her first run back this time to tune up, but I am expecting plenty of improvement today.

The Valley: Race 4 (7:45pm AEDT)
No. 9 Royal Dress

Royal Dress has made only one appearance at the races so far, but she couldn’t have been more impressive on debut, and she can make a winning return at The Valley tonight.

The I Am Invincible filly was sent off at a short price at Morphettville in July and didn’t disappoint, greeting the judge more than a length ahead of her rivals.

She has reportedly flourished in her time away from competition and this looks a nice launchpad for her.

The Valley: Race 6 (8:45pm AEDT)
No. 8 Emerging

This is the strongest race on tonight’s program at The Valley, but I am keen to stick with Emerging.

Emerging didn’t respond favourably to drop back to 2000m at Flemington last time, but his form prior to that was excellent, and included a dominant win over a mile and a half at Geelong.

He gets back out to 2500m tonight and he is rock-hard fit for this contest.

The Valley: Race 8 (9:45pm AEDT)
No. 3 Shotmaker

This is another outstanding Friday night contest, but it looks a particularly nice race for Shotmaker.

Shotmaker has returned several eye-catching efforts throughout his career, and I thought that there was a lot to like about his first-up effort for third in BM70 company at Pakenham.

He’ll enjoy plenty of improvement for that effort and he is drawn to receive a lovely run tonight.
