Sandown Park: Race 4 (8:04pm AEDT)
No. 4 Aston Shine

Aston Shine has returned some eye-catching efforts recently, and I am confident that he can lead all the way in Race 4 at Sandown Park tonight.

The talented son of Fernando Bale ran into trouble soon after leaving from a wide draw here last week and I am happy to put a line through that race, but his form prior was good, and included a dominant win over 500m in late January.

With the benefit of an empty box on his inside, he maps to go forward and make all of his own luck on the pace.

Albion Park: Race 5 (8:40pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

I’m Explosive boasts the class edge in Race 5 at Albion Park tonight, and I am keen to stick with her.

The daughter of Barcia Bale has won three of her last five starts, placing on the other two occasions, and she has broken the clock several times.

I’m going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Light My Flyer running into the first three and Ringbark Thunder running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 2 I’m Explosive (Win)
  • 1 Light My Flyer (Top 3)
  • 8 Ringbark Thunder (Top 4)
Sandown Park: Race 7 (9:04pm AEDT)
No. 1 My Neo

My Neo is drawn to receive all the favours in Race 7 at Sandown Park tonight, and he’ll take plenty of beating.

The son of My Redeemer has missed placing only once in his last eight trips to the races, winning four times, including a couple of dominant efforts at Traralgon two and three starts back.

He’s rock-hard fit, can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and will prove tough to catch.

Sandown Park: Race 12 (10:55pm AEDT)
No. 4 Numerology

This is probably the toughest task that Numerology has been set, but I’ve been impressed with what he has produced on the provincial circuit recently, and I’m confident that he can take the step up.

The son of Barcia Bale recorded consecutive wins down the straight at Healesville and in an open contest at Shepparton, while he was just over a length behind the winner here at Sandown Park last week.

He can use his box speed to go forward, and he’ll be in this contest for a long way.
