2022 Typhoon Tracy Stakes Night Tips & Preview

Feature racing returns to The Valley on Friday night, and the Group 3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes headlines an exciting program.

There are eight winners to be found, and you can find my complete preview and 2022 Typhoon Tracy Stakes Night Tips below.

each way
Ladbroke It! Handicap (3000m) – 6:15pm AEDT
No. 7 Jekyll'N'Hyde

Certainly not the easiest way to begin the program from a betting perspective – we’re faced with around $5 the field and three joint favourites at publish.

I have been quite impressed with what Jekyll’n’hyde has managed recently, and I think that he rates as a key winning chance at around the $8 mark.

The Toronado gelding has finished worse than second just once in his last four starts, and he takes winning form into this contest following a strong effort at Sandown.

He’s rock-hard fit and we can have an each-way play at the price.

Long Fine Hospitality Supplies Plate (955m) – 6:45pm AEDT
No Bet

Just five horses remain in this field and there is hardly any form to study.

I’m happy to let this one go through to the keeper.

Buy Better At Inglis Premier Handicap (955m) – 7:15pm AEDT
No. 1 Mynumerouno

Mynumerouno hasn’t been seen at the races since September, but he is yet to return a poor effort, and he can make a winning return at The Valley on Friday night.

The Vancouver gelding has recorded three wins and a minor from his four appearances so far, and went to the paddock after beating home the likes of Athelric here at The Valley.

He should get every chance in this small field, and he is up to the class.

Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 14 (955m) – 7:45pm AEDT
No. 1 Midwest

Midwest hasn’t put a hoof wrong this prep, and he can record another win at The Valley on Typhoon Tracy Stakes Night.

The Zoustar gelding returned a winning at the Yarra Valley in November and has continued to improve with each start and as the bar has been raised, culminating in dominant wins at Caulfield and here at The Valley most recently.

He’s been freshened since his last effort, but that should only be of benefit to him here.

The Drain Man Handicap (2040m) – 8:15pm AEDT
No. 2 Agnelli

Agnelli will take winning form into the fifth at The Valley on Friday night, and this looks to be another ideal race for him.

The Written Tycoon didn’t show a lot first-up at Sandown in January, but has is another galloper who has continued to enjoy improvement with each start since, and he was rewarded here at The Valley last time.

He steps out this week in peak order, relishes racing here at The Valley and is my best bet of the night.

Midway Concrete Handicap (2040m) – 8:45pm AEDT
No. 6 Designs

I’m going to stick with the consistent Designs in this open handicap over the Cox Plate route.

Designs has missed placing only once in six starts back this time, and she has found form around some above-average gallopers.

She’s drawn ideally under Damien Thornton and with even luck, she’ll prove hard to toss again.

Group 3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes (1200m) – 9:15pm AEDT
No. 2 Scorched Earth

The Typhoon Tracy Stakes is the perfect bit of black type for Scorched Earth.

Scorched Earth showed plenty of ability from her debut while still doing plenty wrong, but she has returned a far more furnished horse this time, and she won each of her first two back with something in hand.

She takes her place in the Typhoon Tracy Stakes field fourth-up and following a credible run for second behind the talented Argentia in the Kevin Hayes Stakes, and this looks her chance to go one better.

Rule Prostate Cancer Handicap (1200m) – 9:45pm AEDT
No. 12 Sandy Prince

The talented Sandy Prince resumes in the last on Typhoon Tracy Stakes Night, and it looks a lovely autumn launchpad for him.

Sany Prince was a strong and consistent performer throughout his last prep, ending his year third in the Listed Gothic Stakes.

He is yet to finish worse than second at this point of his prep and under Craig Williams this week, I’m confident that he can win.
