The in-form Sydney Thunder take on an inconsistent Hobart Hurricanes outfit this afternoon, and the former will surely take plenty of beating again.
They steadily built to the task at the beginning of BBL11, but the Thunder’s recent form has been nothing short of outstanding, and they have won six matches in succession leading into tonight’s meeting, including two of the ladder-leading Scorchers.
The ‘Canes found a nice patch of form through the Christmas period, but the wheels have well and truly fallen off recently, and they has won just one of their last four matches.
The second match today will see the Renegades and the Stars lock horns in another Melbourne Derby, and I am going to take the value on offer for the former to win.
The Renegades have been typically inconsistent throughout the BBL11 season, but they have managed to return some nice performances, and they typically rise to the task against their crosstown rivals.
The Stars have been extremely disappointing – they boast a lot on paper, and while they have had the covid excuse this time around, so too has nearly every other side.
I personally cannot get my head around the large disparity in match betting prices and for that reason alone, I’m taking the $2.40 about the Renegades.
