Queanbeyan: Race 1 (1:35pm AEDT)
No. 6 Roman Candle

Roman Candle will take plenty of improvement into his second campaign start at Queanbeyan this afternoon, and he is ready to win.

The Savabeel gelding has recorded just one win from his twenty nine career starts so far, but he has been a consistent performer throughout his recent preps, and returned to the races with a nice effort to only just miss here a couple of weeks ago.

With even luck, he won’t be offered a better opportunity to win.

Queanbeyan: Race 5 (4pm AEDT)
No. 4 Bella Broadway

Bella Broadway was luckless and failed to fire last time, but her form prior to that run was good, and this looks a great opportunity for her to bounce back.

The daughter of Shooting To Win mustered an impressive turn of foot over 1000m at Goulburn two starts back and recorded a bullish victory.

She steps out today in peak order and is drawn to receive every chance.

Muswellbrook: Race 5 (4:20pm AEDT)
No. 8 Milingimbi

Milingimbi faces a rise in class at Muswellbrook today, but she couldn’t have been more impressive on debut, and I am confident that she can keep alive her unbeaten record.

The Stratum Star filly showed promise at the trials prior to debuting, and she put the writing on the wall here a couple of weeks ago.

She’ll only improve for that experience and this does look to be the next logical step for her.

Queanbeyan: Race 7 (5:20pm AEDT)
No. 1 Larmour

Larmour doesn’t win out of turn, but this looks to be her best opportunity to strike for some time.

Larmour has returned some lovely efforts in races not dissimilar to this one since resuming this time, placing in BM65 company at Canberra most notably.

She’s rock-hard fit, drawn well and can fight out the finish under Billy Owen.
