Flemington: Race 3 (4pm AEDT)
No. 8 For Real Life

The consistent For Real Life takes her place in Race 3 at Flemington today, and she’ll take plenty of beating.

For Real Life has had four starts since returning to action back in November, winning at Ballarat and finishing second on two other occasions.

She steps out today in peak order and with even luck, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

Flemington: Race 4 (4:30pm AEDT)
No. 6 Red Hawk

Red Hawk has made just one appearance at the races so far and hasn’t been seen since August, but he couldn’t have been more impressive on debut, and he can return a winner at Flemington today.

The Deep Field colt was sent off a clear favourite at Ballarat on debut and didn’t disappoint, greeting the judge six lengths ahead of his rivals.

Anything similar to that effort would see him winning this.

Flemington: Race 5 (5pm AEDT)
No. 8 Strategy

This looks to be one of the more open races on today’s program, and I think that a horse like Strategy can make an impact at a lovely price ($9 at publish).

The well-bred gelding has returned plenty of pleasing efforts throughout his busy campaign, winning at Morphettville most notably, and finding form around some above-average gallopers.

He’s rock-hard fit and we can have an each-way play at current odds.

Flemington: Race 6 (5:30pm AEDT)
No. 9 Hills

Hills can make a winning return in the penultimate race at Flemington today.

The talented South Australian didn’t return a poor effort in three starts last time in, winning in BM68 company at Morphettville most notably.

She’s had the benefit of a trial leading up to her return and she’s certainly up to the class.
