Wentworth Park: Race 2 (7:38pm AEDT)
No. 8 Horchata

Horchata has gone to another level recently, and he shapes as the runner to beat in this National Derby Heat.

Horchata has been a strong and consistent performer throughout his campaign, but charged back into the winner’s stall at Nowra last month and hasn’t looked back, winning each of his two subsequent starts with something in hand.

He can use his box speed to cross from out wide, take up the running, and he can make every post a winner.

Wentworth Park: Race 4 (8:19pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Slingshot Jonesy is drawn to receive all of the favours in Race 4 at Wentworth Park tonight, and he can return to winning form.

The son of Barcia Bale finished sixth in Group 1 company at The Meadows at his last appearance, and his form prior was excellent, including three wins from four starts.

I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Father Rick running into the first three and Spring Renegade running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 1 Slingshot Jonesy (Win)
  • 7 Father Rick (Top 3)
  • 2 Spring Renegade (Top 4)
Wentworth Park: Race 8 (9:38pm AEDT)
No. 7 Good Odds Cash

Good Odds Cash looms as the chaser to beat in this National Futurity Heat.

She ran into trouble and wasn’t able to get into the race at her last appearance, but Good Odds Cash’s form prior to that was excellent, and included consecutive wins at this track and trip.

She will need some luck after drawing wide again, but I’m confident that her class edge will take her a long way towards winning.

Wentworth Park: Race 9 (9:57pm AEDT)
No. 1 Don't Tell Lies

Don’t Tell Lies is another chase whose claims on winning at Wentworth Park tonight have been enhanced by her ideal draw of Box 1.

Don’t Tell Lies has been a strong and largely consistent performer throughout her campaign, and she has won three of her last five starts.

This is a drop in class from her most recent appearance in Group 2 company, and she is primed to bounce back.
