Dapto: Race 5 (8:34pm AEDT)
Same Race Multi

Heats for next weekend’s Group 1 Megastar Final headline the program at Dapto tonight, and I am, confident that Zipping Kyrgios will win the first.

Zipping Kyrgios hasn’t shown his best at his last three trips to the races, but his form earlier this campaign was outstanding, and this is a genuine drop in class from what he has been contesting.

I am going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Lock Master running into the first three and Ties That Bind running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 2 Zipping Kyrgios (Win)
  • 5 Lock Master (Top 3)
  • 1 Ties That Bind (Top 4)
Albion Park: Race 5 (8:40pm AEDT)
No. 1 Queen Supreme

Queen Supreme looks well placed to make it two in a row at Albion Park tonight.

The talented daughter of Magic Sprite mixed her form a little earlier in his prep, but she charged back into the winner’s stall here three starts back, and arguably delivered the best performance of her career last time out, greeting the judge ten lengths ahead of her rivals.

She’s drawn to receive all of the favours and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

Dapto: Race 7 (9:19pm AEDT)
No. 7 Special Blend

The early scratching of several leading contenders including Winlock On Top has left this Dapto Megastar Heat as Special Blend’s to lose.

Special Blend ran into trouble almost immediately at Wentworth Park last week and I am happy to put a line through the result, but his form prior was excellent, and included consecutive wins over 520m.

He is Group 1 placed and anything close to his best would be good enough to win this.

Albion Park: Race 8 (9:49pm AEDT)
No. 8 Extra Malt

The talented Extra Malt will take her place in the Listed Queensland Flame Final, and she will take a power of beating.

The daughter of Paw Licking has been nothing short of outstanding this time in, and she has won six of her last seven starts, with her only miss being in Group 2 company.

She will need to step well from the wide draw, but I am confident that her class edge will take her a long way towards winning.
