This looks to be a race in two between Wolf Steele and Merchant Navy, but I think that the latter can prevail.
Merchant Navy has been a model of consistency throughout his campaign, and he has missed placing only a couple of times in his last eight appearances, winning three times.
He’s drawn ideally and with even luck, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
Jedda Cutlack’s classy unbeaten chaser Tungsten Miss will take her place in tonight’s Group 2 Futurity Final, and I am confident that she can win again.
The daughter of Fernando Bale stamped herself as one to watch with a dominant win on debut and she simply hasn’t looked back, winning each of her three subsequent races with something in hand.
She is drawn to receive all of the favours again and can make every post a winner.
I’m happy to stick with Just A Sort in the Group 2 Queensland Derby.
Just A Sort’s recent form has been nothing short of outstanding, and he has won each of his last four starts in impressive fashion.
He will require some luck in running after drawing Box 5, but I am confident that his class edge will take him a long way towards winning.
I’m going to finish the night with a Same Race Multi, and I think that Jagger Moves can lead them home in the tenth.
Jagger Moves has returned some impressive efforts in decent company recently, and he maps to go straight to the lead tonight from Box 3.
With him on top, I’m also going to select Horsburgh to finish in the first three and Bold Hornet to finish in the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 3 Jagger Moves (Win)
- 2 Horsburgh (Top 3)
- 5 Bold Hornet (Top 4)
