Unfortunately for football fans, Covid enforced postponements headline Round 7 of the A-League Men’s competition with just two of the six games going ahead.
It’s a Saturday night double header with Western Sydney and Western United facing off at CommBank Stadium as Adelaide takes on Wellington in the City of Churches.
Each of the postponed games including Central Coast-Macarthur, Newcastle-City, Sydney-Perth and Victory-Roar will all be made up later in the season.
For now though, read on and find our best bets for both A-League Men’s matches.
It is tough to understand why there is such a big disparity in the markets between these teams.
Western United has lost twice this season but both were against Melbourne Victory and it is fair to mention last week’s 3-1 defeat came with a number of absentees for John Aloisi’s men.
If even half of those players are back in action for this fixture, they should be able to account for a Western Sydney side that is struggling to put it all together.
At their current price, back Western United to win.
It looks like goals will be at a premium in this fixture with two sides that have really struggled to work the scoreboard so far this season.
Adelaide’s already limited attack suffered a huge blow with the news that Kusini Yengi is set to miss multiple weeks with a major quad injury and it does not bode well for their chances going forward.
Wellington has looked like a side battling through the unenviable position they are in, operating in a hub and their results have reflected that.
Unders looks to be the way to go here.
