Fort Apache is chasing a hat-trick of wins when he takes his place in Race 4 at Albion Park tonight, and he does look well placed to pull it off.
The son of Paw Licking has returned plenty of pleasing performances throughout his campaign, but his last two have been particularly impressive, and saw him strike in fast time and this track and distance, and at this grade.
He can use his box speed to cross the field and take up the running, and he can make every post a winner.
Extra Malt will start a clear favourite in Race 8 at Albion Park tonight and for good reason; I believe that she will be winning.
Extra Malt ran intro trouble in last week’s Group 2 Ipswich Cup and couldn’t get into the contest, but her form prior was nothing short of outstanding, and including four-consecutive wins.
I’m going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Micks Recall running into the first three and Brockie Magic running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 3 Extra Malt (Win)
- 2 Micks Recall (Top 3)
- 8 Brockie Magic (Top 4)
The consistent Impact will contest Race 9 at Albion Park tonight and looms as the runner to beat again.
The talented son of Fabregas posted an impressive nine victories in succession throughout August, September and October before unfortunately being checked out of a 520m contest at Ipswich two starts back.
He bounced back with another bullish effort in a similar contest last time, and he’ll have the benefit of an empty box to his inside tonight.
Hope Sure Can can return to winning form in Race 10 at Albion Park.
The daughter of Mepunga Blazer is another chaser who has found scintillating form recently, and she won four in a row before flashing late to only just miss earlier this week.
She is drawn to receive all of the favours and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
