Another enormous season of high-octane action is all but in the books and it all comes down to this. Australia’s best cowboys and meanest bulls will light up Townsville at this weekend’s PBR Grand Finals!
Two enormous nights of action begin on Friday, and Neds is your exclusive destination for betting on the toughest eight seconds in sport here in Australia.
Aaron Kleier has been in scintillating form this season, he has won plenty of events, he has returned some truly breath-taking performances, and he has stamped himself as the one to beat in Townsville.
One of the season’s standout performers, Troy Wilkinson, dives into action early on Friday night, and betting suggests that this match with Roam Aviation High Risk could go either way.
He hasn’t returned a placing at his last two events, but Wilkinson has for the most part been a model of consistency, and was unlucky not to strike in either Mackay or Emerald.
Roam Aviation High Risk has mixed his form this season and has been beaten in two of his last four bucks.
Tipping the cowboy to get one on the board early here.
Lachlan Richardson is another of the PBR Australia’s senior cowboys, and it would not be a surprise to see him in the winner’s stall on Saturday night.
On Friday, his first ride is aboard Pay Cheque, who has made just appearances at PBR events so far for wins over Lawson Nobbs and Beau Willis.
In my opinion, there is no doubt that Richardson shapes as the strongest opponent that the bull has faced, and I think there’s some great value to take here.
As outlined above, Aaron Kleier really has been the benchmark on the PBR Australia tour for a few seasons now, and he is definitely the rider to beat in Townsville.
Kleier has won four events in 2021, podiuming on several other occasions and incredibly only missing out on scoring once.
Suga Boom Boom has only been beaten twice in eleven previous bucks, but he has also never faced Kleier
Caiden Sandilands is a more than capable rider on his day, but he hasn’t had the best run of form recently, and the $1.70 we’re getting for Code Blue here looks a touch of overs.
Sandilands just missed the podium at Mackay back in October, but that was the only scoring effort that he has made at his last eight events.
Code Blue is interestingly staring down the barrel of a third-consecutive defeat, but I think he’ll be snapping the drought.
He’s one of the most exciting young riders on the PBR Australia tour, and while this does loom as a tough contest for him, Lawson Nobbs can lay a great account for himself against POA Fully Locked & Loaded.
Nobbs topped the individual ranks in the second Origin event in Cairns this year, and he has continued to return impressive performances all season – he was particularly unlucky not to win at Caboolture earlier this month.
POA Fully Locked & Loaded is a formidable opponent, and barring one blemish against Lane Mellers earlier this year, his record is almost faultless.
I think the bull will win, but I think that Nobbs will push him almost all the way, so let’s get involved with a couple of late ride duration bands.
