Premier League Game Week 10 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 10 Tips & Preview

The Premier League enters Game Week 10 as the contenders begin to pull away from the pretenders.

The action kicks off at King Power Stadium, where the Gunners look to extend their unbeaten league run to seven games.

Elsewhere, Ole fights for his job when United takes on the Spurs, Liverpool plays host to Brighton and Man City square off against Crystal Palace.

As always we’ve previewed all 10 Premier League fixtures this weekend and provided our best betting plays below!

LEICESTER VS ARSENAL
ARSENAL $2.80

Leicester can claim three PL wins on the trot should they get past the red hot Gunners.

Arsenal has won their last two trips to King Power Stadium across all comps, looking to complete an away hattrick over Leicester for the first time since 1925!

The Foxes maybe be without Jamies Vardy for this fixture after he limped off early against the Bees last weekend, the Leicester talisman has scored 11 goals against the Gunners, only outdone by Wayne Rooney (12).

The Gunners’ last defeat came ten matches ago (7W,2D) when they fell to a clinical City outfit, since then their young squad has gone from strength to strength.

I’m backing Arsenal to enter the conversation for fourth place this season with a statement win against one of their closest competitors.

WATFORD VS SOUTHAMPTON
Watford $3.05

Following an embarrassing 5-0 start to his reign as Watford’s new manager, Claudio Ranieri delivered the goods during his second game in charge, seeing off Everton 5-2!

Joshua King cashed in for the Hornets last weekend, claiming his first top-flight hattrick since 2016/17 while sticking the dagger into his former club.

Southampton has been a nightmare to punt against this season, Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side had drawn five of their nine matches this season, taking points away from the likes of Man U and Man City while gifting them to sides such as Burnely and Newcastle!

After the Saints leaked two goals against the offensively inept Clarets last time out, I’m concerned about how they’ll perform against a Hornets unit coming off a scoring spree.

Southampton has done nothing to justify their favoritism in the H2H market, as such, I’ll be backing the Tinkerman to inspire his side to another upset.

NEWCASTLE VS CHELSEA
HT/FT Chelsea/Chelsea $2.10

Newcastle fans should take a holiday somewhere remote and without reception, this one could get ugly.

The Blues went into their GW9 match against Norwich without their regular strikers in Lukaku and Werner, they left the fixture with seven goals and a clean sheet!

Tuchel’s side is currently sitting on top of the PL table, with seven wins from nine games (1D,1L), while conceding just three goals across the trip!

The Blues saw off the Toons twice last season without conceding, a trend which I wholeheartedly expect to continue here.

The competition leaders have been quick starters this season, scoring the opening goal in all but one of their fixtures, seeing them hold the lead after 45 minutes in six of those games.

I’m backing the Blues to get on top early before coasting their way to another three competition points.

BURNLEY VS BRENTFORD
Brentford $2.75

Nine games into the season and Burnley are still yet to break their duck!

The Clarets have failed to claim a victory across their first nine games top-flight games on three previous occasions, during each of those seasons they also fell short in their tenth fixtures and were ultimately relegated!

Brentford remains undefeated on the road this season (2W,2D), a huge achievement for a side competing for the first time in the Premier League.

The Bees staunch defence can be accredited for their success on the road, conceding just two goals on their travels.

The Clarets have only found the back of the net twice at Turf Moore this season (4GP), yet for some reason, they are slight favourites in the H2H market?!

Brentford has been playing some quality football this season, the new boys on the block are carrying more confidence and form into this fixture than their opponents and should keep their unbeaten away run going here!

MAN CITY VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Man City to Win Both Halves $2.20

Man City welcome Crystal Palace to the fortress they call Emptihad!

The Citizens are undefeated at home this season (3W,1D), outscoring their opponents 12-0 across the trip.

The reading doesn’t get much better for the Eagles, who have failed to score in 11 of their last 16 PL meetings against the Sky Blues.

Man City claimed back-to-back 5-0 victories at home earlier this season, I’m expecting a similar scoreline to materialise here.

LIVERPOOL VS BRIGHTON
Reds (-1) & Salah 2+ SoT $2.32

The Reds are coming off back-to-back 5-0 victories in the league after demolishing both Watford and fierce rivals Man United.

Alternatively, the Seagulls were belted 4-1 by the Sky Blues last time out and will be shoring up their defenses for what is sure to be another attacking onslaught this weekend.

Mo Salah has announced himself as the best footballer on the planet right now, his hattrick against United took his goal tally to 10 from nine games, individually outscoring eight sides in the league, including Brighton (9)!

Brighton picked up a 1-0 victory in this fixture last season, Liverpool has rediscovered their mojo since and looks like putting five goals past whoever stands in their way.

Salah has registered 2+ shots on target in all but one game this season (v Man City), I’m backing him to test Brighton’s keeper on multiple occasions and Liverpool to win by 2+ goals.

TOTTENHAM VS MAN UTD
Over 2.5 $1.75

What a trainwreck of a game!

United slouch into this fixture off the back of one of their most painful defeats in club history, going done 5-0 to arch-rivals, Liverpool.

The Red Devils have conceded nine goals across their last two league fixtures and will be fighting to secure their second clean sheet of the season.

Defense or lack thereof, has also been an issue plaguing the Spurs, who are looking to avoid seven straight games without a clean.

This fixture has “red flag” written all over it, does last weekend’s drumming galvanise a disjointed Man U side or is this just the beginning of the end for Ole?

I’m not game enough to back either outfit here, instead, I’ll back the OVERS in what is set to be an open affair.

NORWICH VS LEEDS
Leeds $2.05

Backing against the Canaries is a trialed and true formula for success.

Norwich is dead last in the league with just two goals to their name and 23 against!

Leeds may be suffering from a second-season slump, but they are still streets ahead of their opponents in regards to quality on the pitch.

Anything over even odds against Norwich in the H2H market is better value than Dominos on a Tuesday!

ASTON VILLA VS WEST HAM
West Ham $2.45

The Hammers are looking to consolidate their position inside the top four when they travel to Villa Park this weekend.

The Villans’ last victory against the Irons came way back in 2015, the Hammers have won four of the pairs’ last seven meetings including both fixtures last season.

Aston Villa continues to struggle in the absence of Grealish and are currently starring down the barrel of four straight PL defeats.

Alternatively, West Ham has won their last four fixtures across all comps and are undefeated over their previous seven Premier League away games (5W,2D).

There’s really no case to be made for Aston Villa here, the Hammers are healthy and in red hot form at the minute and are currently huge overs at $2.45.

WOLVES VS EVERTON
Highest Scoring Half (2nd) $2.05

Game Week 10 comes to a close on Tuesday morning (AEST), when the Wolves play host to the Toffees.

Following a promising start to the season Everton has fallen off a cliff, winless across their last three matches (1D,2L).

On the other hand, Wolverhampton has turned their fortunes around, claiming ten competition points from their last four games, compared to three across their first five!

The Wolves have only scored two first-half goals this season, opting instead to throw the kitchen sink at their opponents later in the piece, with all four of their victories coming after scores were tied at the break!

I can’t see the Toffees breaking down this well-organised Wolves unit, I really like the Draw/Wolves halftime/fulltime result at $5 in this one, but will opt for the safer play of backing the goals to come in the second half.
