Hawkesbury: Race 1 (1:20pm AEDT)
No. 2 Maurice's Choice

Maurice’s Choice will take winning form into the first at Hawkesbury today and can continue his rise through the grades.

The three-year-old son of Maurice showed ability during his two-year-old season without posting an elusive win, but he got the monkey off his back via a dominant effort at Goulburn earlier this month.

He’ll only improve from that effort and this looks the next logical point of call.

Hawkesbury: Race 2 (1:55pm AEDT)
No. 2 Passistas

Passistas hasn’t returned a poor performance since debuting and she looms as the runner to beat again in the second at Hawkesbury this afternoon.

The Exosphere mare won each of her two starts during her debut preparation and picked up where she left off with a smart win in BM66 company at Nowra last month.

She suffered her first career defeat at Gosford last time, but there will still plenty of merit in her performance and she can strike back today.

Hawkesbury: Race 4 (3:10pm AEDT)
No. 3 Girl Mania

Girl Mania will make her return to the races at Hawkesbury this afternoon and I am confident that she can break her maiden.

The Capitalist filly was unlucky not to win either of her first two starts last time in and she was sent to the paddock after finishing fourth, beaten less than half a length by Queen Of Dubai at Kembla Grange.

She’s had the benefit of a trial in the lead-up to her return and can fight out the finish today.

Hawkesbury: Race 8 (5:35pm AEDT)
No. 4 Cryptogram

Cryptogram is seeking a hat-trick of wins when she contests the last race at Hawkesbury this afternoon and I am happy to stick with her.

The So You Think mare needed her first run back when sixth in maiden company here at Hawkesbury, but she hasn’t looked back, breaking her maiden and comfortably winning a BM64 last time.

She is in peak condition for today’s contest and at around the $9 mark, we can have an each-way play.
