Gosford: Race 4 (3:50pm AEDT)
No. 2 Pascal

Pascal has only made two appearances at the races so far, but he has stamped himself as a runner to follow and can continue his rise through the grades at Gosford today.

The So You Think gelding was put away after finishing third on debut at Canterbury in May, and he completed an ideal return to the races by comfortably winning at Newcastle.

He’ll only improve for that effort and with even luck, he can win again.

best bet
Warrnambool: Race 6 (4pm AEDT)
No. 8 In The Boat

In The Boat is ready to strike at Warrnambool this afternoon.

The Nostradamus gelding has recorded a win and three minors from just four career starts so far, and has improved for two competitive starts back this time.

Fitter third-up and under the conditions of this race, he is my best bet of the day.

Warrnambool: Race 7 (4:30pm AEDT)
No. 1 Tydeus

Tydeus hasn’t been seen at the races since August and he didn’t come up last time, but this is a drop in class for him and I am confident that he can make a winning return.

The Written Tycoon entire has found form around some quality gallopers during his career, winning twice in six starts.

His best form would see him comfortably saluting in something like this and I am happy to give him a chance today.

Gosford: Race 7 (5:40pm AEDT)
No. 3 Miss Scalini

Miss Scalini has returned some quality efforts this time in and strikes another winnable race at Gosford this afternoon.

The Magnus mare charged in to score an impressive win at Port Macquarie in September, and she has been far from disgraced at her two subsequent appearances, finishing second behind French Response at Newcastle last time.

She’s rock-hard fit and can fight out the finish.
