Straight Shift will take plenty of beating in Race 5 at The Gardens tonight.
The son of Fernando Bale has been a strong and consistent performer throughout his campaign, winning five of his last eight starts and placing on two other occasions.
He is drawn to receive all of the favours tonight and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
Chrissie Banner looks well placed to bounce back into the winner’s stall at The Gardens tonight.
The daughter of Mister Twister recorded three wins in succession through August, and she returned from a freshen up to finish fifth here last week.
I am confident that run will have brought her right back on, and she can use her early speed to overcome Box 6.
I can’t split More Sauce and Zipping Kyrgios in tonight’s Group 1 Sires On Ice Black Top Final, so I am going to have a Same Race Multi.
More Sauce’s recent form has been nothing short of outstanding, and he has won each of his last six starts, while Zipping Kyrgios is the class in the race and has won each of his last four.
I’m going to select both runners to finish in the first two, and build out my bet further with Zulu Warlord running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 1 More Sauce (Top 2)
- 5 Zipping Kyrgios (Top 2)
- 4 Zulu Warlord (Top 4)
I’m confident that Lilly Banner can send us home a winning in Race 9 at The Gardens tonight.
Lilly Banner has returned some quality performances in decent races this time, and she has really only been undone by poor luck at her last few starts.
She can go straight to the lead tonight and make all of her own luck on the pace.
