Straight Shift looms as the runner to beat in Race 6 at Richmond tonight.
The son of Fernando Bale hasn’t missed placing at his last seven trips to the races, winning three times and finding form around some outstanding chasers.
I’m going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Pure Swiper and Opal Model each running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 2 Straight Shift (Win)
- 1 Pure Swiper (Top 4)
- 7 Opal Model (Top 4)
Road Freight looks well placed to return to winning form at Richmond tonight.
The son of Milldean Panther charged in to score here in September and while he didn’t have a lot of luck at his two subsequent starts, he only just missed after jumping from a wide box last week.
He should receive every chance from Box 1 tonight and with even luck, he’ll be hard to beat.
He’ll need to step well after drawing wide, but Big Benno’s recent form has been excellent, and he can record another win at Richmond tonight.
The talented son of El Grand Senor typically keeps his best for the 330m course here at Richmond, and he recorded consecutive wins in similar races here earlier this year.
He has improved for two starts back this time and is ready to strike.
This is probably the toughest race that Snappy Sioux has contested recently, but she has found peak form, and she looks a big of value at around the $7 mark.
The daughter of Hay Fergus has continued to improve with racing recently, culminating in consecutive wins in maiden company and Grade 5 contests most recently.
She’s drawn to receive a lovely run again and we can have an each-way play at the price.
