Premier League Game Week 6 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 6 Tips & Preview

Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man United all remain undefeated after five fixtures, sharing top spot in the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

The Blues’ position comes under threat in the opening game of the week when they welcome a wounded Man City outfit to Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, United takes on a resurgent Villa squad, Liverpool travels to Brentford, and Arsenal plays host to arch-rivals Tottenham in the North London Derby.

Our Premier League Profit Prophet has provided tips for those fixtures along with every other match across game week 6 in his preview below!

CHELSEA VS MAN CITY
Chelsea $2.70

Battle of the Blues!

Thankfully we don’t have to wait long for the match of the round, as Chelsea and Man City lock horns in Champions League Final replay at prime time on Saturday night!

Chelsea has held the wood over Man City in recent times, claiming the last three meetings against Pep’s team, a run which includes a UCL final and FA Cup Semi!

Despite two high-scoring victories against Norwich and Arsenal, the Sky Blues have looked off the mark across the past six weeks, struggling to generate chances against organised defensive structures.

Tuchel has proven himself to be a tactical genius, and with ridiculous quad depth at his disposal, the league is his for the taking.

As such, I’m backing Chelsea to become the first team to win four straight fixtures against a Pepe Guardiola-managed outfit.

MAN UTD VS ASTON VILLA
Man U & Over 2.5 Goals $1.94

While Chelsea and City battle it out in the capital, Man U looks to build on their perfect home record as they welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils’ last league defeat against the Villans came back in 2009 (14W,4D), a game in which Ashley Young was named in the starting XI for Villa!

Fast forward 12 years and Young is hoping to repeat history against the club he called home for ten seasons.

Another player who will be out to replicate historic performances is CR7, who has netted five times at Old Trafford against Villa during his first stint at United.

Bruno has also enjoyed this fixture in the past scoring in all three of his appearances against Aston Villa, there’s no doubt in my mind that both Portuguese internationals will have a hand in claiming all three points for Man U here.

WATFORD VS NEWCASTLE
Ismaila Sarr 2+ SoT $3.40

Following two high-quality clashes, we take a step down in class as the Hornets eye off back-to-back PL wins when they take on the Toons.

Watford has largely enjoyed this fixture in the past (5W,4D,3L), besting Newcastle on more occasions than any other club during their time in the Premier League.

Despite their respective sides’ rough starts to the season, both Ismaila Sarr and Allan Saint-Maximin have looked incredible, Sarr has found the net on three occasions for the Hornets, while ASM has had his hand in four of the Toon’s six goals this campaign.

Sarr has recorded 13 shots on target across his first five fixtures, and with the Hornets set to take the game to their visitors, I can easily see the electric winger testing the keeper on multiple occasions here!

LEEDS VS WEST HAM
West Ham $2.40

Leeds will be desperate to break their duck as they attempt to avoid their longest winless start to a top-tier season since 1935!

To do so they’ll need to get past a Hammers’ outfit who bettered them twice last season.

West Ham botched a chance to snatch a point off Man U last weekend, with club captain Mark Noble subbing on in injury time to take, and ultimately miss a decisive spot-kick.

The Irons bounced back mid-week getting the better of the Red Devils in their EFL Cup fixture, restoring any confidence once deemed lost.

With the league’s top goalscorer Michail Antonio set to return to the fold following a suspension, the visitors look set to deal Leeds their third loss of the season.

EVERTON VS NORWICH
Everton & Over 1.5 Goals $1.95

Norwich is anchored to the bottom of the 2021/22 Premier League table and is the only club yet to claim a single competition point!

Their task doesn’t get any easier here, taking the field against a Toffees’ side looking to claim their third straight home victory, and in doing so climb into the top four.

Norwich has lost their last 15 Premier League fixtures dating back to the 2019/20 campaign, of which they finished dead last!

Despite dealing with a host of injuries, I’m backing Everton to win this one comfortably.

LEICESTER VS BURNLEY
Leicester HT/FT $2.50

Following a tough run of fixtures, the Foxes will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing Burnley at home.

Leicester finds themselves in unfamiliar territory, with losses to West Ham, Man City, and most recently Brighton leaving them in the bottom half of the table.

Though they are still five points removed from the Clarets in 19th position, following four defeats from their opening five games (1D).

Leicester is undefeated across their previous 10 league fixtures against Burnley at the King Power Stadium, a record which I’m backing to be extended to 11 games.

BRENTFORD VS LIVERPOOL
Liverpool to Nil $2.55

Brentford has been impressive in their return to top-flight football, claiming eight points from five games (2W,2D,1L), just two competition points off the pace of the top four!

Though their current form pales in comparison to the Reds, who are currently on a run of 15 PL matches without tasting defeat (12W,3D), winning each of their last three away fixtures 3-0!

In fact, Liverpool has only conceded one goal across their opening five fixtures, which came against the highly fancied Blues.

After a horror run of injuries, Klopp finally has a full crop of healthy players to call upon and with VVD back in the heart of the Reds defence, I can’t see the Bees getting a sight on goal here.

SOUTHAMPTON VS WOLVES
Under 2.5 $1.72

Southampton destroyed about 93.8% of EPL multis last weekend when they held the current champs Man City to a 0-0 draw!

We could be very well set for a similar scoreline here as the Saints search for the third straight clean sheet, while the Wolves are still searching for their third goal of the campaign, despite registering 81 shots across five games!

Wolves’ countless squandered opportunities, coupled with the Saints’ renewed defensive belief, have me backing the ‘Unders’ in this one.

ARSENAL VS TOTTENHAM
Spurs $3.25

Arsenal plays host to cross-town rivals Spurs in the 169th edition of the North London Derby!

After getting away to a disastrous start to the season, the Gunners have managed to restore some respect to their badge, with back-to-back 1-0 victories over Norwich (20th) and Burnley (19th)!

In contrast, following their victory against City, the Spurs have struggled to find a foothold in this season, recently falling to back-to-back 3-0 league defeats.

Worryingly for the visitors, Harry Kane has failed to score across his opening four league appearances for the first time since 2015!

Though if there was a side break his duck against, it would be Arsenal, the English striker has netted 11 times in the North London derby, making him the highest ever scorer in this heated fixture.

Following a couple of favorable fixtures, I believe the Gunners have been lulled into a false sense of security.

I’m backing Kane and Son to reignite their lethal partnership and burst their rival’s bubble with a statement victory here.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS BRIGHTON
Brighton $2.45

Game week 6 comes to a close on Tuesday morning (AEST), as Brighton attempt to consolidate their position in the top four!

That’s right, after the opening five fixtures the Seagulls find themselves in unfamiliar territory at the top end of the table thanks to four wins, two of which came away from home.

After a tough run of fixtures, the Eagles are dwelling down the other end of the table, claiming just one win across the same trip (2D,2L).

Brighton is undefeated over their last three trips to Selhurst Park (1W,2D), with both teams scoring across each fixture.

Graham Potter has his side playing some beautiful football and his team should provide too stern of a test for Vieira’s rebuilding squad.
