Grafton: Race 2 (1:35pm)
No. 2 Schiller Bay

Schiller Bay won his maiden at Grafton first-up in July and his recent form ticks most of the boxes here.

The lightly raced four-year-old was last seen finishing five lengths off the winner over 1200m at Port Macquarie, but he does look capable of bouncing back here after a freshen-up.

Ashley Morgan knows him inside and out, and Barrier 7 should see the pair land just off the pace.

Grafton: Race 3 (2:10pm)
No. 3 Freya’s Cloak

Freya’s Cloak rolled forward and appeared well on her way to a win last time out at Lismore before she was grabbed late.

Ashley Morgan will likely take a similar sit from the soft draw, and this does look like an easier assignment for the pair dropping back in class.

The four-year-old won here at Grafton earlier in the year and should appreciate racing on top of the ground.

Grafton: Race 4 (2:50pm)
No. 3 Star Quest

Star Quest made every post a winner two weeks ago at Bowraville where he gapped his rivals by a comfortable 2.5L margin.

This looks like the next logical step for Stephen Randall’s five-year-old, and if he can get an easy time of it up front again, I think he’ll take a power of beating.

Considering he’s been up since May; he’s held his form nicely and looks a decent value bet from a handy gate.

Grafton: Race 8 (5:20pm)
No. 4 Above the Lot

Above the Lot looks set to peak third-up after showing plenty of improvement for fourth over 1400m here last week.

The mare by Top Echelon returns on the eight-day backup and has drawn to get the gun run under the in-form Ashley Morgan.

She’s also found the money in two previous starts third-up from a spell and should be doing her best work late.
