Swan Hill: Race 3 (2:00pm)
No. 9 Deer Scent

Deer Scent has found the money in two starts over the mile, including a narrow runner-up to Zoffany Street over the track and trip last month.

The lightly raced mare has been kept fresh for the run and looked in good order in her trial run last week.

After racing on-speed last time out, she should be able to get back here from the wide draw and save her best for late.

Swan Hill: Race 6 (3:30pm)
No. 1 Don’t Make Me Wait

Don’t Make Me Wait strips fitter for four runs back and is capable of improving on her latest performance at Tatura.

Neville Kennedy’s seven-year-old just missed out on the money after powering home late, but the way he finished off suggests he’s looking for the step up in trip now.

He’s raced well with big weight in his last two starts and has also placed twice over this distance.

Swan Hill: Race 7 (4:00pm)
No. 5 Red Peroni

Red Peroni bolted in to finish half-a-length second over a similar distance at Echuca last start.

He’s drawn to get the gun run under Joe Bowditch and should appreciate racing on a firm track again.

The son of Brazen Beau is twice placed over this trip and looks a strong chance in a very wide-open race.

Swan Hill: Race 9 (5:00pm)
No. 9 Gaucho

Gaucho was unlucky not to score two weeks ago at Donald where he just faded late to finish second after rolling to the front.

The son of Toronado is capable of improving on that performance though and should have a lot less work to do after drawing a better gate.

He’s missed the money only once from eight starts over this trip and looks tough to beat.
