Ballarat: Race 5 (8:18pm)
No. 8 Avenger Lass

Avenger Lass’ recent form has been nothing short of outstanding, and she can record another win at Ballarat tonight.

The daughter of Aston Dee Bee ran into traffic here at Ballarat when fresh and couldn’t get into the race, but her two subsequent starts have been utterly bullish.

She can use her box speed to go forward and cross from out wide, and with even luck, she’ll prove tough to beat.

Ballarat: Race 7 (8:58pm)
Same Race Multi

Collinda Beast shapes as the runner to beat in Race 7 at Ballarat tonight.

The classy son of Fernando Bale charged in to score an utterly dominant victory here two starts back, but was luckless from the outset in stronger company at Sandown Park last time.

This is a drop back in class and he is faced with ideal conditions, so I am going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with both Showtime Boomer and Rollo Ragnar running into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 3 Collinda Beast (Win)
  • 1 Showtime Boomer (Top 4)
  • 2 Rollo Ragnar (Top 4)
Ballarat: Race 9 (9:42pm)
No. 6 Toby Castle

Toby Castle is chasing a hat-trick of wins when he steps out at Ballarat tonight, and he looks well placed to pull it off.

The son of Fernando Bale has made just five appearances at the races so far, but he has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in winning three times.

He’ll need some early luck after drawing awkwardly, but he does look to have a class edge over his rivals this week.

Ballarat: Race 11 (10:25pm)
No. 2 Markus Rhode

Markus Rhode doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely races poorly, and he strikes a very winnable one at Ballarat tonight.

The son of Barcia Bale has raced almost exclusively at Warrnambool this campaign, and he has found form around some notable chasers.

He was last seen flashing late to finish second over 390m from out wide, and a repeat of that effort tonight would see him into the finish.
