Hopeful Lana is chasing a hat-trick of wins when she steps out at Albion Park tonight, and she looks well placed to pull it off.
The daughter of Fernando Bale has finished worse than second only once in her last seven trips to the races, but her last two performances at this track and distance suggested that she has found peak condition.
She’ll go straight to the lead again tonight and will give them something to chase.
The talented Extra Malt will go around in Race 6 at Albion Park tonight and shapes as the runner to beat again.
Extra Malt’s overall career record stands at 33:16-4-2, and she has returned plenty of impressive performances recently, including a dominant win in fast time here a couple of weeks ago.
I’m going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Magic Miss running into the first three and Brockie Magic running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 8 Extra Malt (Win)
- 1 Magic Miss (Top 3)
- 4 Brockie Magic (Top 4)
Kooringa Lucy will need some luck in running after drawing wide, but she was an impressive last-start winner, and a repeat of that effort would see her into the finish of Race 8 at Albion Park tonight.
The daughter of Fernando Bale has been a model of consistency throughout her campaign, and she has found form around some above average chasers.
I’m confident that her class edge will take her a long way towards winning and I am happy to stick with her.
Crickle Owl Meg hasn’t had the greatest of luck recently, but she is drawn to receive all of the favours in Race 10 at Albion Park tonight, and I am going to give her another chance.
The daughter of Fernando Bale did record a lovely win over 331m here at Albion Park in late June, and she has still managed to compete in some tougher races since.
She can go forward tonight and shouldn’t have any excuses.
