The consistent Withers Monelli rates as a key winning chance in Race 5 at Angle Park tonight.
The talented son of Fernando Bale has found form around some above average chasers recently, and he takes his place in this field off the back of a close-up second placing in a similar contest here a fortnight ago.
He can go straight to the lead from his inside draw, and he will give them something to chase.
The early scratching of Zipping Decoy last left the South Australian Oaks as She’s A Hotshot’s to lose.
She’s A Hotshot has been nothing short of outstanding since debuting, winning four of five career starts so far, and flashing late to win her heat here last week.
This is another rise in class, but she has plenty of upside and can win again.
Came And Went is chasing a hat-trick at Angle Park tonight, and he looks the one to beat in the South Australian Derby.
He hasn’t missed placing in his last eight trips to the races, but his last two efforts have suggested that he has found peak condition, and he returned a particularly bullish performance in his heat here last week.
I am going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with Gemtree Maximus running into the first three and Arby’s Roger running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 1 Came And Went (Win)
- 3 Gemtree Maximus (Top 3)
- 2 Arby’s Roger (Top 4)
Dark Tides will take winning form into Race 10 at Angle Park tonight and she can strike again.
Dark Tides mixed her form a little earlier in her campaign, but she charged back into the winner’s stall at Murry Bridge in July and has hardly put a paw wrong since.
She’ll have the benefit of an empty box to her outside for this contest and with even luck, she’ll take plenty of beating.
