Earl Of Nabiac is drawn to receive all of the favours in Race 4 at The Gardens tonight, and he can return to winning form.
The son of Fernando Bale doesn’t win out of turn, but he also rarely races poorly, and he has finished second in three of his last four appearances.
He won’t have any excuses from Box 1 tonight and this looks his opportunity to strike.
She has only made two appearances at the races so far, but it is hard to ignore Sheba’s Jaffa’s last-start win, and she can continue her rise through the grades at The Gardens this evening.
Sheba’s Jaffa needed the run when racing greenly on debut here in July, but she returned from a short break to record an impressive win at this track and distance, and from this draw last week.
I’m confident that run will have only brought her on, and I am happy to stick with her.
Battling Mavis looks well placed to record yet another win at The Gardens tonight.
The daughter of Black Magic Opal has been a strong and consistent performer all prep, but her last three efforts, all dominant wins at this track, suggested that she has found peak condition.
I’m going to select her as the winner in a Same Race Multi and build out my bet further with both Hello Dream and Burned running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 8 Battling Mavis (Win)
- 2 Hello Dream (Top 4)
- 5 Burned (Top 4)
With even luck from the central box, Lately can strike in the penultimate race at The Gardens tonight.
The son of Fernando Bale charged in to score a dominant win here in fast time two starts back, and he was unlucky to be pipped on the line after leaving from the outside box at Gosford on Tuesday night.
I like that he is on the quick back-up, and he does look to have a class edge over several of these rivals.
