Richmond: Race 5 (7:58pm)
No. 2 Aussie Cortis

Aussie Cortis will take winning form into the fifth at Richmond tonight and looks well placed to strike again.

The son of Aussie Infrared has won five of his last eight starts and placed on two other occasions, but his most recent effort at this track and distance and from this draw was particularly eye-catching.

With even luck, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Richmond: Race 7 (8:35pm)
No. 6 Pay Call

Former Queenslander Pay Call will return to action at Richmond tonight and she can also return to winning form.

The daughter of Moreira returned some outstanding efforts during her preparation earlier this year, highlighted by a win at Group 3 level at Wentworth Park.

She can use her box speed to overcome the awkward draw tonight and will be tough to beat.

Richmond: Race 9 (9:17pm)
No. 1 Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso can return to winning form at Richmond this evening.

The son of Fernando Bale was checked out of his last race almost immediately, but I am happy to forgive that run as his form prior was outstanding.

He is drawn to receive a far better time of it tonight and I’m eager to give him another chance.

Richmond: Race 11 (9:57pm)
Same Race Multi

Count On Me can strike in the penultimate race at Richmond tonight.

The son of Ritza Lenny has only had seven starts since debuting in March, but stamped himself as a runner to follow during his debut prep, winning three times at this track and distance.

He needed his resuming effort to tune up, but I am confident that run will have brought him right back on, so I am going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi.

For increased value, I am also going to select Go Forward Polly to run into the first three and Simply Snip to run into the first four.

Our Same Race Multi selections are:

  • 4 Count On Me (Win)
  • 8 Go Forward Polly (Top 3)
  • 2 Simply Snip (Top 4)
