Randwick-Kensington: Race 4 (3:10pm)
No. 3 Majella

Majella looks beautifully placed to score at Randwick-Kensington this afternoon.

The Matt Smith-trained mare needed her first run back she finished midfield in BM72 company here, but she responded with a lovely win in an easier race at Newcastle.

She has since returned another eye-catching effort to finish fourth, only just beaten into placing on the main track here, and she looks to be in peak condition for this contest.

Sandown: Race 6 (3:55pm)
No. 2 Mahashakti

Mahashakti finished down the order at Caulfield when fresh, but this is a decent drop in class and I am more than happy to give her another chance.

The Mahisara mare was nothing short of outstanding during her debut preparation and won each of her last four starts leading into a break, continuing to improve as the bar was raised.

She enjoyed sharp improvement into her last second-up assignment, and she gets some relief in the weights today under Tahlia Hope.

Randwick-Kensington: Race 7 (4:55pm)
No. 6 Miss Dior

Miss Dior is ready to win when she steps out in the last at Randwick-Kensington today.

The Brazen Beau mare has had three starts back this time, finishing second on two occasions, including an agonizingly close effort behind Duchess here last time.

She meets that horse better at the weights this week and can turn the tables.

Sandown: Race 8 (5:05pm)
No. 2 He's The Real Deel

He’s The Real Deel will take a power of beating in the last at Sandown this afternoon.

The Dundeel gelding has recorded two wins from as many starts since resuming, but his last-start effort was arguably one of the standout performances of the season so far, and saw him give his rivals a genuine touch-up in a similar contest here.

I expected to see him going around in a Saturday metro race following that effort, and he is therefore my best bet of the day.
