Isles Of Avalon can break her maiden first-up at Benalla this afternoon.
The Toronado filly contested two races during her debut prep, both black type, and she finished second behind Cloudy on both occasions.
There isn’t much exposed form in this race, but this filly clearly has talent, and I am happy to stick with her.
I’m going to give Dance Ready one last chance at Benalla this afternoon.
The More The Ready gelding has had four starts back from a spell, and he has certainly improved for each, filling the minors at his last two.
He is rock-hard fit for today’s contest and can fight out the finish again.
El Salto returns from a freshen-up and will relish a drop in class at Benalla today.
The Written Tycoon gelding doesn’t win out of turn, but he has almost exclusively raced in town this time, and hasn’t been poor around some above-average gallopers.
He is a winner over this route previously and this looks like a great opportunity for him to fight back into the right form.
This is a rise in class, but Lady Silvair was an impressive last-start winner and can continue her progression through the grades.
The Lago Delight mare filled the minors on debut, and while she failed to fire at Mornington second-up, she couldn’t have been more impressive last time.
She’ll take further improvement into this contest, and we can have an each-way play at around the $7 mark.
