Tokyo Day 7 Tips (Friday July 30)

Men's 200m Individual Medley
Mitch Larkin to Medal ($2.10)

Mitch Larkin will take his place in the Men’s 200m IM today and while winning Gold would be an enormous result, it also shapes as an enormous task for the veteran, but I think that he can fight his way onto the podium.

Larkin has been a Dolphins’ stalwart for several Olympiads now, and while it is fair to say that his best form is behind him, he has enjoyed another competitive season and is well and truly worthy of his place at Tokyo 2020, and his prominence in betting.

I think that the $2.10 available for him to medal in this event looks like good value.

Men's 10,000m
Joshua Cheptegei to Win ($3.75)

The Track and Field is underway, and we’ll be treated to a competitive edition of the Men’s 10000m tonight, and I think that champion distance runner Joshua Cheptegei can win at odds of $3.75.

Cheptegei has been one of the world’s standout distance runners for the last few seasons, and he set a new world record in this event in October last year, slicing six seconds off the previous mark set fifteen years prior.

Anything close to his best would see him into the finish, but I think that he will return a special performance on the sport’s grandest stage.
