Morphettville: Race 2 (12:57pm)
No. 4 Reynolds

Reynolds can record another win in the second race at Morphettville today.

The Exceed And Excel gelding recorded three wins and a placing from four starts last time, and he returned from a short prep to fill the minors here a fortnight ago.

I’m confident that run will have brought him right on, and he’ll take plenty of beating in something like this.

The Valley: Race 2 (1:20pm)
No. 3 Tycoon Humma

Tycoon Humma recorded two wins from as many starts during her debut prep, and she can make a winning return at The Valley today.

The Written Tycoon filly showed promise at the trials prior to debuting and put the writing on the wall with a bullish win at Bendigo.

She then franked that effort with a nice win at HQ and she has reportedly flourished in her time away from the track.

Randwick: Race 6 (2:15pm)
No. 3 Dick Whittington

French import Dick Whittington is an intriguing runner on debut for the Matt Smith stable, and I am happy to roll the dice on him today.

The War Command gelding stamped himself as one to watch in his four-start debut prep in France last year, winning his first two starts and placing behind Algiers in black type company.

He has been prepared for this race with a couple of handy trials here in Sydney and if his European form holds up, he’ll take beating.

The Valley: Race 4 (2:40pm)
No. 2 Dr Drill

There’s a case to be made for a couple here, but I’m going to stick with Dr Drill, particularly with Jamie Kah aboard.

Dr Drill is yet to win in four starts back this time, but he has returned a few typically smart performances, and he was last seen finishing second behind Furrion at Flemington off a freshen-up.

I’m confident that run will have brought him right back on and something like this is well within his means.
