Morphettville: Race 2 (1:20pm)
No. 11 Coyote

Coyote hasn’t been seen at the races since January and he will make his Australian debut this afternoon, but I think that he can break his maiden.

The Tivaci gelding had three starts in New Zealand during his debut prep, fighting on well to be in the finish of each race and finding form around some horses that have since franked it.

I’m happy to roll the dice on him first-up this afternoon.

each way
Morphettville: Race 4 (2:30pm)
No. 1 Black Opal

I think that Black Opal rates as a key winning chance in the fourth and we can have an each-way play at his current odds ($8.50 at publish).

The Statue Of Liberty gelding doesn’t win out of turn, but he has been competitive throughout his career, and he has stripped fitter for a couple of credible efforts in Victoria since resuming this time.

Fitter third-up and under Jess Eaton, I think that he can run a bold race.

Morphettville: Race 5 (3:05pm)
No. 9 Naleigh

Naleigh finished second at Gawler when fresh and can go one better in the fifth at Morphettville this afternoon.

The Nostradamus filly was a strong and consistent performer last time in and broke her maiden here at Morphettville most notably.

She’ll take plenty of improvement into this race and is primed to strike.

Morphettville: Race 8 (5pm)
No. 1 Tibetan

Tibetan has improved for two starts back this time and is ready to win when he contests the last at Morphettville this afternoon.

The Michael Hickmott-trained gelding ran home well to fill the minors here at Morphettville when resuming and he was last seen finishing second, though well beaten by Dominus over 1550m.

Getting further out in trip looks ideal and with even luck, he can fight out the finish again.
