Daily Dogs – Sunday, August 1

Albion Park: Race 5 (6:54pm)
No. 3 Deb's Desire

She doesn’t win out of turn, but Deb’s Desire looks well placed to strike in the fifth at Albion Park tonight.

The daughter of Vee Man Vane has been undone by poor luck at her last few appearances, but she has better box speed than the two drawn inside for this contest, and she can go straight to the lead.

With clear passage early, she’ll be tough to catch over the short trip.

Albion Park: Race 7 (7:35pm)
No. 1 Summer's Missile

Summer’s Missile has been a strong and consistent performer this campaign and strikes another winnable race at Albion Park tonight.

The daughter of Barcia Bale hasn’t missed placing at her last four starts, and was unlucky to be pipped late here last week.

She’ll go forward from Box 1 tonight and will give them something to chase.

Albion Park: Race 8 (7:55pm)
No. 2 Nando Flyer

This is the strongest race on tonight’s program and a chaser like Nando Flyer has claims on winning at a nice price ($6 at publish).

The son of Fernando Bale has won three of his last four starts and enters this contest off the back of a particularly bullish effort under almost identical circumstances.

He maps to go forward, and he’ll be in this for a long way.
