There isn’t a lot of form to divulge ahead of the first at Werribee on Saturday, but Tranquil Bay looks to be a galloper of ability and can break her maiden.
The Cable Bay filly ran into the placings on debut and was put away after failing to fire second-up, but returned this time with a lovely effort to only just miss at Sale.
With improvement, I think she’ll take plenty of beating in something like this.
Atomic Rock has returned to the races in competitive form this time and is ready to win at Werribee today.
The Pierro gelding returned from a lengthy spell to finish second, beaten a nose by Golden Fourth at Geelong before filling the minors at Edenhope last time.
Fitter third-up and under Patrick Moloney, he can win again.
Bet Red will take winning form into he sixth at Werribee today and looks well placed to make it two in a row.
The Redwood gelding has continued to improve with each of his first three starts this time, culminating in his strong effort and win in BM64 company at Swan Hill.
This is another small rise in class, but it looks the next logical step.
American Saint hasn’t been seen at the races since January, but she races well fresh and looms as a winning chance in the eighth at Werribee today, at a lovely price ($11 at publish).
The Americain filly has recorded a win and three minors from her six career starts so far, and she found form around some decent gallopers last time.
She’s had the benefit of a lovely trial in the lead-up to her return and we can have an each-way play at the price.
