Michael Costa will travel several leading fancies to Coffs Harbour today including Hembrow, who looks tough to beat in Race 2.
Hembrow hasn’t been seen at the races since March last year, but she showed plenty of promise during her debut prep and found form around some talented gallopers.
She’s had several trials in the lead-up to her return and anything close to her best will be good enough today.
Hudoo Vudoo will taker winning form into the fourth at Coffs Harbour today and can continue his rise through the grades.
The Hinchinbrook gelding has been a consistent performer since resuming and was rewarded for his condition with a nice win in maiden company at Ipswich last time.
This is harder, but I’m confident that the key to him winning is dropping back to country company.
The early scratching of Brazen Force has blown this race wide open, and a runner like Tiomo now has genuine claims.
Tiomo has been a good horse for Donna Grisdale throughout his career, and he returned to the races for a credible fourth in a similar contest at the Gold Coast.
With improvement and some relief in the weights, he can fight out the finish today.
Devine Factor hasn’t been seen at the races since November, but she is a proven fresh performer and she can return to winning form at Coffs Harbour today.
The four-year-old daughter of The Factor has just one start in a hit-and-run mission in summer, but her preparation prior was good, and feature a win on the Gold Coast and a race in black type company.
Her best form is certainly good enough to see her winning something like this, and she returned a lovely trial a couple of weeks ago.
